Terms of Sale

SC Builds sells assembled desktop computers. Each build is assembled, cleaned, and tested before shipping. Our builds may contain used, refurbished, or open box components. This is disclosed intentionally because the condition is part of the value and price. Every component is verified and tested under load before a machine ships. The specifications listed on each build page describe what that machine contains.

Any frame rate or benchmark numbers shown ("avg FPS," etc.) are results from our testing on specific titles and settings, provided as a good faith guide. Real world performance varies by game, settings, resolution, drivers, and configuration. These figures are estimates, not guarantees of the performance you will see in every title.

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed securely via Stripe by credit/debit card or US bank debit (ACH); we never see or store your full payment details. We do not offer financing or buy-now-pay-later. Card orders are confirmed when payment succeeds. ACH orders reserve the build while processing, but we do not ship until the funds clear. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any order in the rare case of a pricing error or a build selling out before your order is processed.

We ship anywhere in the United States. The checkout shows the live carrier charge and a separate $75 protective-packaging charge. Computers are packed carefully and shipped with tracking, adult signature, and an amount allocated for declared-value coverage up to their purchase value. We purchase the applicable carrier coverage when buying the label; carrier terms and exclusions apply. Typical transit time is 5 to 7 business days after the build ships. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. If your shipment arrives damaged, see Section 5.

If your machine does not work when it arrives or has physical transit damage, you are covered. Notify us within 5 days of delivery with photos and/or video of the issue and the packaging. We will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or fully refund the machine, and we cover return shipping for confirmed arrival failure or transit damage claims. Please keep all original packaging until any claim is resolved because the carrier may require it.

Beyond DOA, every SC Builds machine carries a 30 day limited warranty from the date of delivery, covering component or workmanship defects.

• Coverage: If a component fails due to a defect within 30 days, we will, at our sole option, repair or replace the affected part or the machine. Repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. A cash refund is not guaranteed for covered warranty failures.
• Proof & inspection: You must contact us with a description and photos/video of the issue. We may require the machine be returned to us for inspection before we repair or replace. If inspection shows no covered defect, you are responsible for return shipping both ways.
• What’s NOT covered: physical damage, liquid damage, drops, electrical surges, misuse, overclocking, normal wear, software issues, or damage caused by an installation, modification, removal, or replacement of components.
• Independent parts or service: Opening the case or using third-party parts or service does not by itself void this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage that the third-party part, service, or modification causes.
• Cannot be transferred: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not transfer if the machine is resold or given away.

This limited warranty is in addition to any remaining manufacturer warranties on individual new components, which you may pursue directly with the manufacturer where applicable.

All sales are final except for defects (arrival failure, transit damage, or covered warranty defects as described in Sections 5 and 6). We do not accept returns because you changed your mind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SC Builds' total liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or downtime. Back up your data. We are not responsible for any data loss.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York.
